About the role

As a Senior Business Development Manager at Penfield (Assist) Digital, your main focus will be identifying and creating new business opportunities. You are at the forefront of closing deals, building strategic relationships and developing robust and profitable account plans. Your expertise bridges the gap between the operational management and the boardroom, translating digital roadmaps into actionable collaborations.

In this role, you leverage your network and insights to drive lead generation and to build a strong sales pipeline. You are responsible for managing your pipeline through our CRM system, are experienced by navigating pitches and tenders with the support of the team team and are able to close deals yourself. You work closely with management and executive teams on larger sales initiatives and report directly to the CCO.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively create and develop new business opportunities around crm, data and (marketing) automation through research, partnerships, cold acquisition, and networking activities.
  • Analyze business needs to determine how our services can add value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, from operational management to board level.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Support marketing activities and convert leads into concrete opportunities.
  • Keep track of all activities in our CRM system.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that meet client needs.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of our proposition.
  • Onboard new clients and ensure a smooth transition to account/project management teams.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and execution.

Who are you?

  • You have a minimum of +5 years of experience in a new business role, preferably within a tech company, digital agency or consultancy environment.
  • A proven track record in nurturing an closing mid market and/or enterprise size deals.
  • A strong network within the digital and/or tech industry
  • Proficiency in using lead generation tools and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • You are proactive, results-oriented, able to work independently or in a team setting and possess a healthy dose of perseverance.
  • Affinity with technology and a willingness to develop new skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, with proficiency at the C1 level or native.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
